About Coordinating Council Session on training for aviation specialists

On 31 May - 1 June 2004 in Tashkent on the basis of State Aviation Institute the regular (retreat) Coordinating Council Session on training for aviation specialists of the Member States to the Agreement on Civil Aviation and Airspace Use was held in the Interstate Aviation Committee. Members of Coordinating council, observers, representatives of aiation authorities and educational intitutions of civil aviation of the member states to the Agreement  and representatives of Chkalov Tashkent Industrial Aircraft Association took part in the session.
       Informtion reports on the interim results of the implementation of the work plan of Coordinating coucil for 2004 were heard and discussed and in particular on: 
     - organization and implementation of training process in preparation of GA aviation specialists in accodance with the priciples of Bologna Declaration (1999) in leading aviation universities of the Civil Aviation of the Russian Federation and Ukraine;
     - progress on analysis of the training programs for aviation personnel and creation of an index of conformity of specialties and specializations of graduated aviation specialists at the educational institutions of the GA of the member states to the Agreement at the Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation (MSTU CA) and the Academy of Civil Aviation (RF); 
     - development and implementation of training for flight specialists in Omsk flight technical and Kremenchug flight colleges, existing problems and solutions;  
     - status of educational and methodological work on the training of aviation specialists in educational institutions of Civil Aviation of the member states State the Agreement. 
       Participants of the session supported the decision of the Presidium of the Academic Association Council of universities of the Russian Federation on the opening of the specialty of higher professional education "Aircraft flight support " as part of the graduates training 658100 "Air Navigation".
        At the meting the general opinion on the urgent creation and application of common standards for aviation specialists training directly related to operation and maintenance of aviation equipment was expressed. The participants of the meeting decided to conduct a comparative analysis of the legal and educational-methodological framework used by the aviation training centers of the member states to the Agreement in the Uzbekistan Airways educational training center in order to unify the curricula and programs, develop common approaches and requirements (standards) of professional training of aviation personnel, nostrification of issued certificates.
