About the workshop “Development of Operational Safety and Continuing Airworthiness” the Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA)

In the period 20-23 September 2016 within the framework of the ICAO/ICAO Project RER/01/901 “Development of Operational Safety and Continuing Airworthiness” the Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA). Workshop was held for the inspectors involved in the foreign aircraft flight safety oversight on the apron in Dushanbe on the initiative of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan.

         The workshop was organized by Airbus, SENASA (Spain) with the support of Interstate Aviation Committee and its agenda included the following topics:

-         SAFA technical aspects and SAFA database;

-         SAFA inspection items:

A.   Cockpit,

B.   Cabin,

C.   Aircraft condition,

D.   Cargo area.

To illustrate the instruction material an educational film on the subject-matter of the workshop was demonstrated to the participants. A number of practical tasks to consolidate the knowledge acquired were also offered. A training inspection was held on the B-737-900 aircraft.

More than 50 aviation specialists from the Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz Republic participated in the work of the seminar.

Upon the completion of the workshop all participants received the certificates.
