About the visit of the IAC Chairman to the Kyrgyz Republic

During the period October 4-7, 2023, a delegation of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) headed by Chairman of the Committee Oleg Storchevoy visited the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the visit a working meeting was held with the leadership of aviation authorities of the Republic, at which the parties discussed current aspects of cooperation in the field of flight safety, training and proficiency upgrade of aviation specialists, considered the issues of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices implementation in the Kyrgyz Republic. An in-depth exchange of views on all areas of international cooperation in the field of civil aviation took place, and ways for further interaction were outlined. 

At the meetings, the significant role and active position of the Kyrgyz Republic were noted, as well as the high level of participation of aviation authorities in the IAC's work. The participants expressed confidence in the need for closer cooperation in the field of investigation of aviation accidents, certification of aviation equipment, aerodromes and facilities, air navigation and training of aviation spacialists. 

IAC delegation also took part in ceremonial events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of civil aviation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the 50th anniversary of the The Kyrgyzstan Aviation Institute named after Ishembay Abdraimov. At the past official festive events IAC Chairman Oleg Storchevoy adressed all aviators of the Republic with greetings, congratulated them on the significant anniversaries and wished them further development and safe functioning of the aviaiton industry in Kyrgyzstan. He also assured that IAC, for its part, will make every effort to be a reliable partner and support in this difficult time for international civil aviation and for the whole world.
