About signing the Agreement between the Interstate Aviation Committee and Federal Service for Supervision of Transport of the Russian Federation

On November 14, 2023, on the sidelines of "Transport Week 2023" an Agreement was signed between the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) and Federal Service for supervision of Transport (Rostransnadzor) on cooperation in the field of flight safety, monitoring of flight safety during aircraft accident and incident investigation, and mutual exchange of information on issues within the competence of IAC and Rostransnadzor. 

The objectives of the Agreement were a common interest in ensuring a high level of flight safety and aviation security in civil aviation of the Russian Federation, the need of the development and implementation of coordinated measures, joint efforts aimed at implementing decisions, ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices to enhance the level of flight safety and prevent aircraft accidents and incidents, as well as aspiration for effective interaction and cooperation in the field of flight safety. 

The parties expressed confidence that the IAC activities as an international independent regional organization (RAIO/RSOO) of the States Parties to the Agreement are carried out in accordance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, its long-term experience in the field of aircraft accident investigation, aviation specialists training within the framework of the ICAO-IAC Project and the high role of Rostransnadzor in ensuring flight safety and aviaiton security in the Russian Federation will contribute to effective interaction and cooperation for ensuring flight safety.
