About the meeting of Air Navigation Coordinating Commission

      On December 2-3, 2009 in the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) the Air Navigation Coordinating Commission meeting dedicated to improving adaptation of national ATM systems to ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, as well as mutual harmonization of these systems within the framework of national ATM system Concept adopted by the Council of Heads of State was held.
      The emphasis was made on the issues of flight safety management, as well as coordination of activities on CNS/ATM strategy implementation in the states on the basis of ATM satellite technologies using Russia's GNSS and America's GPS, aviation personnel training, issues of ATM safety data collecting and processing system in the Eastern part of ICAO European region (including Central Asia states) satisfying ESARR 2 requirements of European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL).
      Air Navigation Coordinating Commission members from 8 contracting states to the Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace (Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan, Republic of Tajikistan) and from Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC), as well as representatives of 8 leading research and scientific production organizations and enterprises of Russian Federation - developers of ATM systems and facilities took part in the meeting.
      Representatives of Air Navigation services/authorities of the contracting states to the Agreement informed on the status of implementation of national ATM safety programs in their states.
      Personnel of research and development organizations presented information on developed prospective ATM systems and facilities to participants of the Agreement.
