About participation of the IAC specialists in the round-table meeting "Prevention of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances misuse among personnel at hazardous man-made industries"

In accordance with the schedule of the Council on drug prevention problems of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation the IAC specialists participated in the round-table meeting "Prevention of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances misuse among personnel at hazardous man-made industries" on December 6, 2016.

Federation Council members, State Duma deputies, representatives of federal state authorities, Public Chamber, heads of fuel and energy complex enterprises and transport and passenger transportation companies, prevention and rehabilitation specialists participated in the meeting.  

Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Galina Nikolaevna Karelova emphasized the need of improved monitoring of the situation and exception of psychoactive substances consumption at hazardous man-made industries aimed at flight safety promotion of citizens and country. 

The participants discussed the best practices of early detection of persons consuming narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, activities on drug abuse prevention at hazardous man-made industries and also prepared proposals for providing solutions in counter-narcotics field of the Russian Federation.

Senator emphasized that in order to prevent the risk of using psychotropic substances it is necessary to have close cooperation of the Federation Council which considers legal regulation of issues regarding narcotic drugs and misuse counteraction with regional authorities, experts, civil community one of its priorities. The Council venue on the issues of drug abuse prevention provides the opportunity to unite efforts of all concerned and develop common approaches to this serious challenge.  

Following the discussion the draft recommendations on development of systemic measures on prevention of drugs misuse at hazardous man-made enterprises was adopted. It is addressed to concerned ministries and departments, regional legislative and executive authorities.
