About the workshop "Safety assessment of foreign aircraft" (SAFA)

     On October 29, 2013 the workshop "Safety assessment of foreign aircraft" (SAFA) within the framework of ICAO-IAC International Project RER/01/901 "Development of operational safety and continuing airworthiness" was held in the Interstate Aviation Committee.   
     The workshop was organized jointly with AIRBUS company for aviation authorities and airlines of Member States of the interstate Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace.  
    The following issues were considered at the workshop: 
     - SAFA technical aspects and database;
     - SAFA inspection items:
     A. Cockpit,
     B. Cabin,
     C. Aircraft condition,
     D. Cargo area;
     - Practical event-based training was conducted.
     The workshop was attended by representatives of aviation authorities and airlines of the republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan and Ukraine.
