IAC Chairman took part in the XVIII Meeting of heads of the central units of the appropriate authorities of the CIS countries

On June 10, 2025, in Moscow, the Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee Oleg Storchevoy took part in the XVIII Meeting of heads of the central units of the appropriate authorities of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States responsible for counter-terrorism, and the Heads of the National Structures of the CIS member states coordinating activities in the field of combating terrorism and extremism. The meeting was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center.

The event was attended by representatives of the appropriate authorities of 9 CIS member states, working structures of 13 CIS bodies, 4 basic organizations of states and 3 international organizations.

Addressing the audience with a welcoming speech, the Chairman of the IAC noted: "The Interstate Aviation Committee focuses on the issues of protecting civil aviation of the Commonwealth of Independent States from acts of unlawful interference as an integral part of the fight for aviation safety and highly appriciates ​​the long-standing constructive relations with the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center. I am confident that we will continue to strengthen our cooperation in the interests of the safe and effective development of international civil aviation."

The meeting was held in the format of a plenary session and four specialized sessions. The issues of national experience in countering terrorism and extremism, international counter-terrorism cooperation, countering the radicalization of the population and aspects of organizing joint anti-terrorist exercises of the appropriate authorities of the CIS member states were considered.
