IAC took part in the ICAO EUR/NAT DGCA-2025 meeting

On June 17, 2025, the delegation of the Interstate Aviation Committee headed by the Chairman of the Committee Oleg Storchev took part in the annual meeting of the Directors General of Civil Aviation (DGCA-2025) of the ICAO European and North Atlantic Office (EUR/NAT).

The agenda of the meeting included discussion of current issues of sustainable development of civil aviation in the region, training of aviation specialists, support of states in the implementation of ICAO standards, partnership and consolidation of efforts in the field of enhancing the safety of international civil aviation.

ICAO demonstrated a pilot project to support civil aviation of countries with the involvement of funds from developers of aviation equipment and international financial institutions, which will be launched in Uzbekistan this year.

The meeting also provided updated information on regional activities and the EUR/NAT work program in the short term, including an announcement of upcoming events in the EUR/NAT region. Strategic directions for training of next generation aviation specialists (NGAP) of ICAO were considered.

On the sidelines of the event, the IAC Chairman met with the heads of civil aviation of a number of countries in the region: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Uzbekistan and Morocco. Meetings and exchange of views on the development of cooperation with the President of the ICAO Council Salvatore Sciacchitano and the EUR/NAT Regional Director Nicholas Rallo took place.

"We consider the participation of the IAC in events like this to be a very important tool for exchanging experience. The IAC is always open to mutually beneficial cooperation and is ready to work with colleagues from various regions in order to improve the flight safety level of international civil aviation," the IAC Chairman commented on the results of the participation of the Committee delegation in the meeting of the Directors General of Civil Aviation of the ICAO European and North Atlantic Office.
