Robinson R-44 RA-04156 04.05.2017

On May 4, 2017, the accident involving R-44 RA-04156 helicopter owned by Light Air, Ltd occurred near Beloretsk town, Bashkortostan, RF. According to the available information, the pilot and two passengers on board were killed, the rotorcraft was destroyed.

The Interstate Aviation Committee has formed the Investigation team in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team has started its work.

The Interstate Aviation Committee informs about the progress of accident investigation involving Robinson R-44 RA-04156 helicopter (operated by Light Air Airlines, CJSC).

The Final Report on the investigation progress is published on the IAC web-site. 

Preliminary Report is issued in accordance with clause 2.4.12 of Regulations on Civil Aircraft Accident and Incident investigation in the Russian Federation and clause 7.4 of ICAO Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation. The Interim statement containsactual information received to date by the Investigation team. 

Upon completion of investigation works the Final Report will be issued by the Investigation team.

Information presented in the Interim statement is preliminary and can be specified and updated in accordance with the investigation results.
