About 19th Session of Air Navigation Coordinating Commission

On 3-5 April, 2019, the 19th Session of the Air Navigation Coordinating Commission with the agenda “Innovative technologies in air navigation and meteorological support of aircraft flights” was held at the headquarters of the Council on Aviation and the Use of Airspace" in Baku, Azerbaijan Republic. The meeting was opened by the head of the enterprise "Azeroeronavigation" F. Kuliev, the head of the apparatus of the Council on Aviation and Use of Airspace E. Bagirzade and the Deputy Chairman of the IAC K. Kleschev.

Experts from aviation authorities, providers of air navigation and meteorological services, research institutes, research and production centers (associations), as well as educational institutions of the contracting States to the Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace were invited to participate in the meeting.

The meeting was attended by members of the IAC Air Navigation Coordinating Commission from 6 contracting States to the Agreement (Azerbaijan Republic, Belarus, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan), as well as representatives of leading research and production organizations and enterprises of the Russian Federation - developers of ATM systems and tools.


The focus of the meeting was made on innovative technologies in air navigation, as the basis for harmonizing the development of national ATM systems and increasing the level of flight safety in the contracting States to the Agreement. Speakers emphasized that the use of modern technology is one of the key factors for improving flight safety.


During the meeting the participants familiarized themselves with the organization of planning and air traffic management of the enterprise "Azeraeronavigation", with the structure and achievements of the organization in the field of air navigation, noted the high contribution of the enterprise to the development of civil aviation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Guests visited the new Airspace Supervision and Efficiency Center (ASEC) and the National Aviation Academy.


In summing up the results, the participants noted the high level of organization of the Coordinating Commission, informative and interesting reports and messages.
