About Air Navigation Coordinating Commission Session

On 2-3 December 2009 in the Interstate Aviation Committee the Session of Air Navigation Coordinating Commission on further adaptation of national ATM systems to the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, as well as mutual harmonization of these systems within the framework of the National ATM Systems Harmonization adopted by the Council of Heads of State was held.
      The emphasis was given to the issues of air traffic control/ATM flight safety promotion, as well as coordination of activities on implementation in states of CNS/ATM global strategy based on ATM satellite technologies using Russian Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) and American Global Positioning System (GPS), aviation personnel training, the issues of establishing ATM flight safety data collection and processing system satisfying Eurocontrol Safety Regulatory Requirements (ESARR 2) in the Eastern part of the ICAO European region (including Central Asia states).
      Air Navigation Coordinating Commission members from 8 contracting states of the Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace (Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan, Republic of Tajikistan) and from Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC), as well as representatives of 8 leading scientific and research and scientific and production organisations and enterprises of the Russian Federation – designers of ATM systems and facilities took part in the meeting.

Representatives of air navigation services/authorities of contracting states of the Agreement informed on the condition of national ATM aviation safety promotion programmes implementation in their states. Officials of research and development organisations presented information on perspective ATM systems and facilities being developed to the participants of the Meeting.
