About 20th Session of Air Navigation Coordinating Commission

On 19-21 November 2019, the 20th Session of Air Navigation Coordinating Commission (ANC) with the general agenda "Improving the efficiency and air navigation capacity building in the member States to the Agreement" was held in the Interstate Aviation Committee (Moscow).

The ANC was attended by representatives of aviation authorities, providers of air navigation services of the member States to the Agreement on Civil Aviation and the Airspace Use, aviation industry, scientific and educational institutions of civil aviation, as well as international organizations from 7 member States to the Agreement (Azerbaijan Republic , Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Russian Federation).

The meeting was opened by the IAC Deputy Chairman – ANC co-chairman Kleshchev Konstantin Alexandrovich.

The First Deputy Chairman of the IAC, Viktor Mikhailovich Rukhlinsky delivered welcome remarks.

At the ANC Session, such current issues of civil aviation activities as the problems of unifying the legal regulation of airspace use for civil and state aviation, practical aspects of ensuring the quality of aeronautical information, in the context of AIM introduction, including the creation of a digital terrain model of aerodrome vicinity and mapping information of selected airfields. The issues of remote ATC tower implementation were considered. Much attention was paid to ensuring cybersecurity of ATM systems, building advanced security information and communication networks and the like. A large knowledge layer was devoted to the implemented meteorological equipment, space weather use in aviation. Issues related to aviation specialists training, the impact of professional identity on flight safety and the mechanism for achieving a positive flight safety culture were also raised.

An introductory tour to the laboratory of the Commission on scientific and technical support of accident investigation (laboratory) was organized and conducted for the participants of the 20^th session of ANC.
