About participation in the festive event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of establishment of the Aviation Security Service in civil aviation

On July 12^th, 2023, a festive event dedicated to the 50^th anniversary of establishment of the Aviation Security Service was held.

The event was attended by representatives of the RF Federation Council, State Duma of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Transport of Russia, Federal Air Transport Agency, Rostransnadzor, Interstate Aviation Committee, federal government bodies, airports and airlines, aviation authorities of EAEU countries and ICAO.

Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee Oleg Georgievich Storchevoy addressed with congratulatory speech to the workers and veterans of Aviation Security Services. He also emphasized that Aviation Security Services have come a long way in all areas of its activities. An extensive system of international and domestic interdepartmental cooperation has been created, with divisions in territorial departments, at each airport and in airlines. In the field of personnel training a remarkable progress from on-the job training to a training system according to programs and with instructors accredited by ICAO, with receiving International Certificate in Aviation Security. A training system was organized in higher education institutions equipped with the most modern training equipment with interactive training programs.

Interstate Aviation Committee, within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement with the Council of Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States takes part in the preparation of draft model legislative acts related to fighting terrorism in countering aviation terrorism in air transport.

In issues of the fight against acts of unlawful interference, the Interstate Aviation Committee strengthens cooperation with interstate and intergovernmental structures of the CIS, including with the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center under the Program of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States to combat international terrorism and other manifestations of extremism.

During regular meetings of leaders, experts and members of the IAC Coordination Council specific measures are determined to implement the Recommendations of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth, which recognized the need to consistently continue work on promoting conditions that ensure the intensification of combating international terrorism and other manifestations of extremism.

During the event, there was an exhibition of advanced developments of technical means for ensuring aviation (transport) security.
