Seminar “Development of Operational Safety and Continuing Airworthiness in the Member States of the Agreement”

In the period 21-22 October 2020 within the framework of the ICAO-IAC Project RER/01/901 “Development of Operational Safety and Continuing Airworthiness in the Member States of the Agreement” the Interstate Aviation Committee jointly with ICAO and IATA held the on-line Safety Data Processing and State Safety Risk Management Workshop.

In the course of the workshop the following presentations were made:

- Safety Data Collection and Processing Systems: ICAO SIMS;

- Safety Data Collection and Processing Systems: IATA GADM;

- Safety data protection;

- Safety analysis, hazard identification;

- State Safety Risk Management;

- Risk assessment and mitigation measures;

- Acceptance of SMS;

- Performance based oversight.

The subject-matter of the workshop excited great interest of the aviation specialists of the region. During the discussion of the presentations and the exchange of experience the participants of the workshop touched upon the practical issues of the State Safety Risk Management, safety data processing and exchange and other urgent relevant issues.

More than 100 specialists from the 12 Member States of the Agreement and other regions took part in the work of the workshop.
