On 22 June 2017 the CAST – CIS Meeting on the adoption of the 3rd edition of the Methodological Recommendations “Aircraft Ground De-/Anti-icing” was held at the IAC headquarters within the framework of the ICAO/IAC Regional Project (COSCAP-CIS).
The participants of the meeting included the permanent members of the team – representatives of IAC, FATO, Domodedovo Airport, Airbus, the Boeing Company, United Aircraft Building Company, Aeroflot Airlines, UTair Airlines, S7 Airlines, Air Bridge Cargo Airlines, scientific institutes, such as the Central Aerodynamic Institute and the State Scientific Research Institute of Civil Aviation.
During the team meeting the participants considered the issues of adopting the 3rd amendment to the above-mentioned Recommendations related to the aircraft de-/anti-icing procedures with engines on, development of the de-icers’ movement patterns during aircraft de-/anti-icing procedures, requirements for de-/anti-icing procedures on certain types of aircraft, environmental protection, safety precautions, etc. The main aim of issuing the new edition of the Methodological Recommendations corresponding to the modern requirements in the given field of aviation, is the use of this document by the CAAs and the airlines of the Member States of the interstate Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace in the navigation period 2017-2018.
The next team meeting is scheduled to be held in August 2017.
