The President of the Interstate Council on Aviation and Use pf Airspace, IAC Chairperson T. Anodina and the Director of the Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA, French: Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la sécurité de l'aviation civile) held the meeting in BEA headquaters (Paris) and summed up the results of a 25-year collaboration in the field of accident investigation and flight safety within the framework of joint Agreement from 14.01.1993.
The parties positively assessed the results of constructive long-term cooperation and interaction. Mutual trust and recognition have been achieved with respect to the applied methods and procedures for investigation, personnel training and technical capabilities of BEA and IAC laboratories.
With a view to consolidating the parties discussed the ways of further strengthening and deepening cooperation in the field of flight safety and accident investigation.
T. Anodina presented an honorary diploma with N.Y. Zhukovsky medal to Director of BEA, Mr. Remy Jutie. The parties expressed their appreciation for the professionalism of the IAC and BEA in the field of accident investigation, the results of cooperation and the development of recommendations and measures for aircraft accidents prevention.
T. Anodina discussed in detail with the ICAO President Mr. O. Aliu the IAC initiatives on ICAO innovative programs implementation to ensure safe, stable and sustainable development of international aviation industry, as well as the expansion of cooperation with the Interstate Council/IAC within the framework of the indefinitely extended Agreement with ICAO and one of the most effective regional ICAO-IAC projects.
The importance of consolidating the ICAO resources and regional organizations like the IAC for the implementation of innovative programs for the safety of international civil aviation was emphasized.
At the IATA headquarters, T. Anodina and the IATA Director General held a regular meeting to discuss the results of cooperation within the framework of the Agreement with IATA, concluded in 2017 and which is a development of the Agreement 2009. At the meeting, the heads of IATA and the Interstate Council/IAC discussed cooperation programs on implementation IATA standardsin the region, joint training of aviation specialists on the basis of the ICAO-IAC project with the participation of IATA experts and auditors, introduction of modern technologies and innovations for safe and cost-effective and sustainable development of international air transport.The parties emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between IATA and the Interstate Council/IAC and the need for its expansion. The meeting was constructive in a spirit of complete mutual understanding.
