About 29th Session of the Council on Aviation and Use of Airspace

      On December 11, 2009 in the IAC the 29th Session of the Council of plenipotentiary representatives of member states of the Interstate Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace was held.
      Main issues of the agenda:
      - implementation with the framework of international agreements and programmes in the interests of member-states of the Agreement «Main areas of civil aviation development and measures to enhance flight safety» adopted by the Council of heads of government and «Concept of ATM Systems harmonization» adopted by the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth;
      - analysis and measures to ensure flight safety in States in the region, in this context the participants of the Council session emphasized the relevance of further development on the  basis of the IAC of the internationally recognized interstate system of independent states; 
      - implementation of the Agreement with European Aviation Safety Agency in the field of aviation equipment certification;
      - about the activities in the field of development and upgrading aviation equipment – RRJ-95, Аn-148-100, Аn-124-100, IL-114 models and others.
      Plenipotentiary representatives of the member-states of the Agreement were familiarized with the progress of ICAO-IAC project implementation, they approved the work plan within the framework of the project for 2010.
      The issues of preparation for the 37th session of ICAO Assembly and high-level Conference on flight safety were discussed, decisions about preparation of working and information documents for these forums were made.
      Given the relevance of accounting system implementation and analysis of information on flight safety based on current international taxonomy ADREP 2000, the decision on advisability of its implementation as classifier of aviation events in the member-states of the Agreement was taken.
The participants of the Council session noted the efficiency of discharging of their duties by the IAC within the framework of the interstate Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace.
