About the regular meeting of IAC and EASA leaders
On July 3, 2009 in Saint-Petersburg the regular meeting of IAC and EASA leaders on the mutual projects implementation within EASA-IAC Agreement was held chaired by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Executive Director Mr. Patrick Goudou and Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) Chairperson Tatiana Anodina.
The following issues were discussed at the working meeting:
- evaluation of manufacture certification system in IAC by European aviation authorities (relating to RRJ-95/75 aircraft and SaM-146 engine manufacture);
- status of RRJ-95/75 aircraft certification process in IAC;
- status of SaM-146 engine certification process in EASA. Engine validation in IAC AR;
- support of An-26 aircraft certification in EASA by IAC AR;
- support of Bе-200ChS-Е aircraft certification in EASA by IAC AR;
- support of Ка-3211ВС helicopter certification in EASA by IAC AR, etc.
The parties noted that the interaction between EASA and IAC during the five years of the EASA-IAC Agreement has been developing dynamically and successfully, and agreed to consider expanding the areas of cooperation in the following areas:
- aerodromes certification;
- development of certified requirements for flight safety;
- discussion of mutual approaches to different aspects and issues of aviation development considered by ICAO taking into account regional colaboration and work experience of IAC and EASA.
EASA will consider the issue of participation in ICAO-IAC Project implementation including possible holding of the workshop within its framework for airlines of the contracting states to the Agreement on Civil Aviaiton and Use of Airspace on the requirements for airlines performing operations in EU states. The issue of conducting SAFA inspectors courses for the contracting states to the Agreement will be considered.
Parties' commitment to hold further meetings on a regular basis at the level of IAC and EASA leaders along with interactions at the expert level has been confirmed.
As a result of the meeting IAC Chairperson T. Anodina and EASA Executive Director P. Goudou signed protocol reflecting achieved agreement on working meeting agenda.
