About the workshop «Safety assessment of foreign aircraft» (SAFA)

      The workshop on "Safety assessment of foreign aircraft" held within the framework of the IACO-IAC international Project started its work in Saint-Petersburg on June 16, 2014.
      The workshop was organised by Airbus company, ICAO, Interstate Aviation Committee and Rostransnadzor supported by "Rossiya" Airlines" JSC.
      The following issues were considered at the workshop:
      - SAFA engineering aspects and data base
      - SAFA check positions:
      A. Cockpit,
      B. Main cabin,
      C. Aircraft status,
      D. Cargo hold;
      - Training based on real cases. 
      The workshop includes training on A319 aircraft.
      Representatives of Administration of state aviation supervision and supervision over transportation security in Central, North-Western and Far Eastern Federal Districts as well as representatives of "Rossiya", "Transaero" and "UTair" Airlines took part in the workshop.
