About the working meeting on SMS (safety management system) for aviation products manufacturers

      The working meeting on SMS (safety management system) for manufacturers of aviation products within the framework of ICAO-IAC RER/01/901 "Development of operational safety and Continuing Airworthiness" regional project supported by Airbus Group was held in the Interstate Aviation Committee on July 21.     
      The specialists of the United Aircraft, "Ilyushin Aviation Complex" JSC, "Sukhoi Company" (CJSC), "The Union of Aviation Industrialists", "Irkut" Corporation JSC, "Tupolev" PJSC, TNTK "Beriev aircraft company, "Russian helicopters" JSC, "Mil Moscow helicopter plant" JSC, "Kamov" JSC,  "Kazan helicopters" JSC, "Rostvertol" JSC, and the Interstate Aviation Committee took part in the working meeting.
      Airbus specialists, one of the world manufacturers of aviation products presented their "SMS for manufacturers of aviation products" concept and told about the progress in the system integration within the framework of its company.
      Information about SMS development in accordance with requirements of Annex 19 to Chicago Convention on Civil Aviation was presented to the leading specialists of domestic aircraft industry of "Ilyushin Aviation Complex" JSC and "Sukhoi Company" CJSC.
      In the opining of participants the organized event will continue to expand cooperation between aviation products designers in this field and contribute to the development of coordinated approach in implementation of standard and recommended ICAO practices in our region.
