About the workshop «Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft» (SAFA)

  Within the framework of the ICAO-IAC RER/01/901(COSCAP - CIS) regional project implementation the "Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft" (SAFA) workshop was held in Novosibirsk on May 25-28, 2015.
     The workshop was organized by Airbus company, ICAO, Interstate Aviation Committee and Rostransnadzor supported by S7 Airlines and Aviation-engineering maintenance holding.
     The following issues were considered:
     - SAFA technical aspects and data base;
     - SAFA test positions:
     A. Crew cockpit
     B. Main cabin
     C. Aircraft status
     D. Cargo hold
     Case-based training was held. The workshop included A319 aircraft training inspection at Rolmachevo Airport.
     A training film on the workshop topic as illustration of instruction materials was shown and the range of training exercises for revision was offered to the trainees.
     
45 aviation specialists from Administration of State Aviation Supervision and Supervision over Transportation Security of Central, Northwestern and Far Eastern Federal Districts; Far Eastern, Ural, Northwestern, Tyumen, East and West Siberian, Krasnoyarsk, Central and Southern Interregional Territorial Administration of Federal Air Transport Agency and also representatives from Avrora and S7 Airlines took part in the workshop.
