About the workshop «Safety assessment of foreign aircraft» (SAFA)

     Within the framework of the ICAO-IAC RER/01/901(COSCAP - CIS) regional project implementation the "Safety assessment of foreign aircraft" (SAFA) workshop was held in Novosibirsk on May 25-28, 2015.
     The workshop was organised by Airbus company, the ICAO, the Interstate Aviation Committee and Rostransnadzor supported by S7 Airlines and Aviation-engineering maintenance holding.
     The following issues were considered:
     - SAFA technical aspects and data base;
     - SAFA test positions:
     A. Crew cockpit
     B. Main cabin
     C. Aircraft status
     D. Cargo hold
     Training was held on the basis of real cases. The workshop included the training inspection at A319 aircraft in Rolmachevo Airport.
     A training film on the workshop theme as illustration of instruction materials was shown and the range of training exercises for revision was offered to the trainees.
     
45 aviation specialists from Administration of the State aviation supervision and supervision over transportation security of Central, Northwestern and Far Eastern Federal Districts; Far Eastern, Ural, Northwestern, Tumen, East and West Siberian, Krasnoyarsk, Central and Southern Interregional Territorial Administration of Federal Air Transport Agency as well as representatives from "Avrora" and S7 Airlines took part in the workshop.
