On signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Romania

On June 17, 2016, in the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC), the signing of Memorandum of Understanding in the field of accident investigation and prevention in civil aviation between the Civil Aviation Safety Investigation and Analysis Center (CIAS) of Romania and IAC was held.

During the visit of CIAS representatives to the IAC, the activities on the onboard FDR/CVR recorder downloading and readout were conducted in the IAC Laboratory. These activities are conducted during accident investigation involving Ka-32A ER-KGD helicopter occurred on April 26, 2012 near Ostrov commune, Tulcea County, Romania.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the achieved agreement and hope for the further cooperation in order to increase flight safety of civil aviation of both parties.
