On 12-14 Oсtober (Budapest, Hungary) the Interstate Aviation specialists participated in Fifth European Meeting of the ICAO Collaborative Arrangement of the Prevention and Management of Public Health Events in Civil Aviation (CAPSCA) – CAPSCA–EUR/5 ) and training of technical advisors of CAPSCA Member States held by the ICAO European and North-Atlantic Office and World Health Organization with the participation of ministers and authorities representatives of health system, aviation authorities of over 40 European countries, Commonwealth states and other international participating organisations of CAPSCA programme.
The meeting participants discussed the results and prospects of collaboration in the field of health promotion and support of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of population of the ICAO European and North-Atlantic region states. The issues of interdisciplinarity on prevention of emergency situations in the field of public health in civil aviation were considered.
The IAC representatives exchanged best practices with aviation authorities and public health officials of the Commonwealth states on considered issues at the forum and presented the report with information on the IAC activity in the establishment of international norms in prevention of hazards in the field of public health in civil aviation of the Commonwealth states.
The meeting participants emphasized that new threats can have adverse effect on aviation industry work including emergency situations in the field of public health. Awareness, readiness/proficiency and network structure are necessary to ensure continuous aircraft communication and hazards warning and prevention in the field of public health.
