On the regular meeting of CAST-CIS Working Group

On June 22, 2017 the CAST – CIS Meeting on the adoption of the 3^rd edition of the Methodical Recommendations “Aircraft Ground De-/Anti-icing” was held at the IAC headquarters within the framework of the ICAO/IAC Regional Project (COSCAP-CIS).

The participants of the meeting included the permanent members of the team – representatives of IAC, FATO, Domodedovo Airport, Airbus, Boeing Company, United Aircraft Building Company, Aeroflot Airlines, UTair JSC, S7 Airlines, Air Bridge Cargo Airlines, research institutes, such as Central Aerodynamic Institute and State Scientific Research Institute of Civil Aviation.

During the meeting the participants considered the issues of adopting the 3^rd amendment to the above-mentioned Recommendations related to the de-/anti-icing procedures on the aircraft with engines on, development of the de-icers’ movement charts during aircraft de-/anti-icing procedures, requirements for de-/anti-icing procedures on certain types of aircraft, environmental protection, safety control measyres, etc. The main aim of issuing the new edition of the Methodical Recommendations, corresponding to the modern requirements in this field of aviation, is the use of this document by the CAAs and airlines of the Member States of the Interstate Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace in the navigation period 2017-2018.

The next team meeting is scheduled for August 2017.
