Conducting Special Courses “A318, A319, A320, A321 (NEO) aircraft, their systems, engines and flight and navigation complex”

In the period May15-18, 2018 Special Courses on the construction of A320 aircraft family (A318, A319, A320, A321 (NEO), their systems, engines and flight and navigation complex were held in the IAC Headquarters within the framework of the ICAO/IAC Project RER/01/901 “Development of Operational Safety and Continuing Airworthiness in the Member States of the Agreement”. Specific characteristics of the new A350 and A380 aircraft were also presented.

The Courses were conducted by Airbus experts (Hamburg Training Centre, Germany) for the aviation specialists from the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan.

These specialists have studied mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic and airframe systems of the Airbus family aircraft. Navigation, radio navigation, automated take-off and landing, communication, air conditioning and fire protection, anti-icing systems functional capacities, as well as the flight data recording and reservation system with the information display in the cockpit have also been studied in detail.

The Courses have also dealt with the CFM, CFM 56, IAE V2500 engines, new generation aviation engines, which Airbus A320 NEO and Boeing 737 MAX are equipped with IAE PW 1100G, LEAP-1A and their electronic control and regulation systems, as well as Honeywell 131-9A (APUs).

Various types of the applied composite materials (carbon-filled plastic, glass fiber, synthetic fiber (Kevlar), etc.) have been studied in depth including their advantages and disadvantages.

The Courses have been highly evaluated by the participants and their importance to the specialists from the flight, engineering services and inspections of the CAAs of the Member States of the Agreement has been noted.
