During the V Annual International Forum "Exchange Commodity Market-2020" on December 9, 2020, a Memorandum on Cooperation was signed between the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) and the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX).
The document was signed by Alexey Rybnikov, President of SPIMEX and Anatoly Golomolzin, First Deputy Chairman of the IAC.
The Memorandum provides for the implementation of practices based on the use of international advanced exchange trading instruments into aviation enterprises performance standards.
Cooperation between IAC and SPIMEX has a practical focus on ensuring the sustainability of airlines, streamlined relationships with suppliers of aviation fuel and aviation fuel supply services. This work is consistent with both the basic principles and the new approaches of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) proposed in the context of the crisis. Taking into account the direct and indirect economic benefits of air transport for the economies of its countries, ICAO considers it possible, including through regional or international economic cooperation, as well as cooperation with financial institutions, to provide stakeholders throughout the civil aviation sector with the most appropriate support means.
