On May 17, 2021 Saint Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) commenced calculating and publishing over-the-counter prices of jet fuel supplied to the aircraft wing (see: Saint-Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (spimex.com).

This activity is consistent with the goals and objectives of the Memorandum on cooperation between IAC and SPIMEX which has a practical focus on ensuring airlines sustainability, streamlining their relationships with suppliers of aviation fuel and services.

The new indices are calculated for Moscow air hub (Moscow International Sheremetyevo Airport, Moscow Domodedovo Airport, Vnukovo International Airport and Ramenskoye/Zhukovsky International Airport) and reflect the calendar month weighted average of over-the-counter prices of jet fuel supplied to the aircraft wings allow to evaluate the fuel price level and its dynamics.

It provides prerequisites for adoption of practice based on the use of best international exchange trading instruments  into the standards of aviation enterprises.
