About the visit of the IAC delegation to the Republic of Uzbekistan

On 12 April the official visit of the IAC delegation headed by the Chairman of IAC O.Storchevoy to the Republic of Uzbekistan took place. During the visit working meetings with the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhamov and the civil aviation leaders of the Republic of Uzbekistan were held.

The parties discussed the topical aspects of interaction in the field of flight safety, aviation specialists training and advanced training, preparation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the forthcoming ICAO audit.

There was a profound exchange of opinions on all issues of international cooperation in the field of civil aviation and ways for the further development of bilateral relations were outlined.

Participants of the working meetings highly appreciated the level of interaction between IAC and the CAA of Uzbekistan and expressed their confidence in the need for closer cooperation in the field of aircraft accident investigation, certification of aircraft and aircraft equipment, aerodromes and aerodrome equipment, air navigation, aviation specialists training.

Based on the results of the meetings the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chairman of IAC signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of aircraft accident investigation and prevention.
