On October 4-7, 2023, a delegation of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC), headed by the IAC Chairman Oleg Storchevoy, visited the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the visit, a working meeting was held with the leadership of aviation authorities of the Republic, where the parties discussed current aspects of cooperation in aviation safety, training, and proficiency upgrade of aviation specialists. The implementation of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices in the Kyrgyz Republic was also discussed. An extensive exchange of views on all areas of international cooperation in civil aviation took place, and ways for further collaboration were outlined.
The meetings highlighted the significant role and active position of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the high level of participation of aviation authorities in the IAC's work. Participants expressed confidence in the need for closer cooperation in the field of accident investigation, certification of aircraft, aerodromes, and equipment, air navigation, and aviation specialists training.
The IAC delegation also participated in celebrations marking the 90th anniversary of civil aviation in the Kyrgyz Republic and the 50th anniversary of the Kyrgyzstan Aviation Institute named after Ishembay Abdraimov. At the official celebrations, IAC Chairman Oleg Storchevoy addressed all aviators of the Republic, congratulated them on their significant anniversaries, and wished them continued development and safe operation of aviaiton industry in Kyrgyzstan. He also assured them that the IAC will make every effort to be a reliable partner and support during this challenging time for international civil aviation and the entire world.
