On September 20, 2024, in Moscow, the Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee Oleg Storchevoy took part in the 103rd meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The 103rd meeting was held by the Chairman of the CIS Economic Council, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk.
The Council members were presented with a report by the Chairman of the IAC on the main activities of the Interstate Aviation Committee, in which he noted that the participation of the IAC in such a high-level meeting opens up new prospects and opportunities for deepening international cooperation within the CIS in the field of civil aviation.
In addition, Oleg Storchevoy outlined the Committee’s long-term plans: to continue strengthening the interaction of states in the field of civil aviation, improving flight safety level in the region, as well as attracting new states to participate in the Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace.

The Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States is the main executive body ensuring the implementation of agreements adopted within framework of the CIS, decisions of the Council of Heads of State and the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth on the formation and functioning of a free trade area and other issues of socio-economic cooperation.
