The IAC Chairman took part in the International Engine Building Forum

Yestersay, on October 23, 2024, in Moscow the XVII International Engine Building Forum (IEBF-2024) was launched. The forum is attended by leading enterprises of engine building, aggregation engineering, metallurgy and related industries, as well as industry research institutes and universities. Traditionally, the event consists of a business program and an exposition part.

Opening the IEBF-2024, the Director General of the IEBF-2024 - President of the International Association "Union of Aviation Engine Building", President of the Academy of Sciences of Aviation and Aeronautics Viktor Chuiko noted that there is a considerable progress in the domestic engine industry and this progress, among other things, is due to the fact that the industry has significant support from the President of Russia. This year, the motto of the forum is "World level Russian engine building", which fully corresponds to the status of our engine building and is aimed at its further development.

Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee Oleg Storchevoy took part in the viewing of the IEBF-2024 exposition. Special emphasis at the exhibition is placed on domestic developments, new directions such as robotization and digitalization of manufacturing processes in aviation are presented. At the UEC stand, the participants could see the PD-14 aircraft engine and examine its design. The PD-35 technology demonstrator engine fan blade, manufactured using additive technologies, is presented at the exhibition for the first time.

Oleg Storchevoy also took part in the plenary session of the Scientific and Technical Congress on Engine Building. The reports on the expected future development of aircraft engines, new design and technological solutions, flight safety and operational efficiency of engines were presented at the meeting.

In addition, the Chairman of the IAC held a number of working meetings at the forum, wh ere he discussed the prospects of aviation industry development and measures aimed at improving flight safety.

The International Engine Building Forum is held in Moscow at VDNH from October 23-25, 2024. The organizers of the forum are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the International Association "Union of Aviation Engine Building". The partners of the forum are UEC, Rosoboronexport, CIAM, VIAM, and the Academy of Sciences of Aviation and Aeronautics.
