The Interstate Aviation Committee and All-Russian public association – Russian Trade Union of Flight Personnel signed the Agreement on interaction and cooperation on the sidelines of the VI Eurasian Aerospace Congress in Moscow. The document was signed by the Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee Oleg Storchevoy and the President of the Professional Russian Trade Union of Flight Personnel Miroslav Boychuk.
The Agreement was signed with the aim of developing interaction and cooperation on the issues of flight safety in civil aviation of the Russian Federation.
Within the framework of the Agreement, the parties will promote the implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing flight safety in civil aviation, including:
mutual information and discussion of initiatives related to flight safety;
assistance in the implementation of innovative flight safety management methods in civil aviation organizations of the Russian Federation;
cooperation in investigation of accidents and serious incidents.
IAC Chairman emphasized that the human factor has a great impact on flight safety, therefore, interaction with the Russian Trade Union of Flight Personnel, which unites civilian pilots, is important for the IAC.
“We hope that the Agreement will become a tool for further cooperation in the implementation of measures and solutions that will contribute to flight safety improvement and accident prevention,” - the IAC Chairman stressed.
The President of the Professional Russian Trade Union of Flight Personnel also confirmed the importance of the signed document and stated that flight safety is the priority of the Union: “You and I must do everything to ensure that our citizens move safely and comfortably from point A to point B. I am sure that the Agreement signed today will contribute to this”.
The parties expressed confidence that the joint activities of the IAC and the Trade Union will steadily develop and contribute to flight safety improvement.
