About the visit of the IAC Chairman to the Republic of Kazakhstan

On the November 15, 2024, an official visit of the delegation of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) headed by IAC Chairman Oleg Storchevoy to the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. During the visit, working meetings were held with Vice Minister of Transport Talgat Lastayev, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee Saltanat Tompiyeva and Director of Transport Accident and Incident Investigation Department Nurzhan Malayev.

The parties discussed topical aspects of cooperation in the field of flight safety, training and proficiency upgrade of aviation specialists, and expansion of regional cooperation. An in-depth exchange of views took place on all areas of international cooperation in the field of civil aviation, and ways for further development of bilateral relations were outlined.

The Chairman of the IAC highlighted the positive results of the Kazakh partners in the field of improving flight safety and international cooperation achieved in recent years. Oleg Storchevoy congratulated his colleagues on the opening of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ICAO and expressed confidence that this decision will contribute to the further development of civil aviation in the Republic.

For their part, the Aviation Authorities of Kazakhstan also commended the level of interaction with the IAC.

The parties expressed confidence in the expediency of intensifying dialogue in the field of accident investigation, air navigation, training of aviation specialists, and regional flight safety programs.

During the visit to Kazakhstan, the IAC delegation also visited the Civil Aviation Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where a meeting with management and employees took place. The IAC delegation was familiarized with the production activities and the results of the Administration's work.
