About the discussion of issues of transportation security management and supervision at the International Forum “Transport of Russia”

The Interstate Aviation Committee took part in the conference "Interaction of regulatory (supervisory) transportation authorities in ensuring transportation security along international transport corridors", which was held at the site of the International Forum "Transport of Russia" in Moscow. The conference was organized by Rostransnadzor.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, Rostransnadzor, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Russian University of transport (RUT (MIIT), the Eurasian Economic Union and delegations of foreign states.

The participants of the conference exchanged information on the best international practices of transportation security management and supervision. Ways of improving the efficiency of interaction between state supervisory authorities, the possibility of remote supervision for continuous monitoring of transportation security, the introduction of innovative technologies and the possibility of digitalization of transport monitoring were discussed.

In his speech, the First Deputy Chairman of the IAC, Viktor Sorochenko, noted: "The successful solution of the problem of ensuring transportation security depends on the state of security of individual facilities and elements of transport infrastructure, as well as on sound and timely management decisions. Such decisions should be based on the results of supervisory activities reflecting the actual state of the transport system."

The First Deputy Chairman of the IAC informed the participants that the IAC has developed the Concept of Constructing a Common Information Space for the exchange of flight safety data. The database will be harmonized with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices with the ADREP-2000 taxonomy. The implementation of this concept will provide the aviation authorities of the States, including supervisory authorities, airlines and other interested transport infrastructure organizations with the opportunity to have constant access to up-to-date information on the current state of flight safety. This will allow them to adjust the areas of their activities and make operational management decisions based on the analysis of a large amount of data.

The issues of improving the flight safety level in the States of the region are a priority area of the IAC's activities. In this regard, the development of cooperation between the IAC and the supervisory authorities of the States parties to the Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace is an important tool for solving the complex task of ensuring flight safety.

The International Forum "Transport of Russia" is one of the largest industry events held annually to discuss topical issues and find solutions that ensure the connectivity of the Russian economy and its territories, contributing to strengthening the position of the state in the global economy.
