New partnership: IAC and Vnukovo Airport signed the Agreement on cooperation

On February 5, 2025, a ceremony for signing the Agreement on cooperation between the Interstate Aviation Committee and Vnukovo International Airport, JSC was held at the site of the XII National Exhibition and Forum of Civil Aviation Infrastructure. The document was signed by Oleg Storchevoy, Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee, and Dmitry Erzakovich, General Director of Vnukovo International Airport, JSC.

The Agreement was concluded with the aim of interaction and cooperation on the development of the Russian air transport system by implementing the best domestic and international practices aimed at improving flight safety and sharing experience.

The signing ceremony was attended by Vladimir Poteshkin, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, and Dmitry Yadrov, Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency.

“Vnukovo International Airport pays special attention to ensuring transport security and flight safety, including improving the efficiency of ornithological and rescue flight support. I am confident that cooperation and the Agreement that will be signed today will give an impulse to ensure that all enterprises of the Russian Federation have the opportunity to implement these technologies,” said Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vladimir Poteshkin.

Dmitry Yadrov noted: “We are at the signing of this Agreement between Vnukovo Airport and the Interstate Aviation Committee, which, certainly, has enormous experience in matters related to the development of aviation. The technologies that were presented here and that Vnukovo Airport currently has will allow all our future projects to be implemented most quickly. Of course, this strong synergy will give the corresponding effect. And, of course, it is very pleasant that currently we see how all civil aviation organizations sign agreements that allow the industry to develop. Therefore, I thank my colleagues and wish you success. We are always close to the Ministry of Transport, ready to provide assistance.”

The Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee Oleg Storchevoy noted that the signing of the Agreement will be an additional impetus for the development of cooperation between the IAC and Vnukovo Airport: “The key to accident-free air transport is strict compliance with aircraft operation rules, timely and high-quality servicing. This will be the subject of our joint activities, which in practice should contribute to improving flight safety and preventing aviation accidents. For example, a joint seminar on the ornithological situation in the areas of airfields is already being prepared. I am confident that by combining the experience, knowledge and resources of our specialists, we will be able to achieve a lot for the safe operation of air transport.” Dmitry Erzakovich, General Director of Vnukovo International Airport, JSC stated that Vnukovo Airport is one of the most modern and high-tech air transport complexes in Russia, where in recent years a number of projects aimed at modernizing the infrastructure and introducing innovative technical and technological solutions have been implemented. Particular attention is paid to the quality of personnel training - since 2019, Vnukovo Airport has been hosting professional skills competitions "VKO-Profi", the main goal of which is to improve the professional competencies of employees in various specialties. Dmitry Erzakovich emphasized that the greatest achievements in the professional field are demonstrated by employees of departments ensuring flight safety and transport security. Drivers and rescuers of the search and rescue flight support service of Vnukovo Airport are constantly improving their professional skills.

Dmitry Erzakovich emphasized: "Vnukovo International Airport is ready to become a platform for holding international professional skills competitions in order to exchange experience and professional competencies with representatives of those countries with which the IAC has concluded agreements. I am confident that our strategic cooperation will become an effective tool for identifying and implementing the best domestic and foreign practices aimed at improving flight safety."

The signing of the Agreement was an important step towards strengthening cooperation between Vnukovo Airport and the IAC and provides new opportunities for the development of civil aviation.
