IAC held a ceremonial meeting on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War

The Interstate Aviation Committee held a ceremonial meeting on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Congratulating the team on the Great Victory Day, the Chairman of the IAC Oleg Storchevoy noted that: “We will always remember that Nazism crushed the Soviet people – millions of people of different nationalities fr om all the republics of the Soviet Union. Today, veterans of the Great Patriotic War live in different countries. Nevertheless, it is impossible to separate their united, great feat of saving entire nations from death, barbarity and enslavement. This feat, without any exaggeration, is the property of all mankind.”

Aviators of our country made a huge contribution to the Victory. They spent hundreds of combat hours in the air: they fought in air battles and carried out reconnaissance, bombed enemy targets and provided cover for the movement of our troops, participated in the transportation of the wounded, maintained communications between headquarters and the partisan movement, worked in the rear and restored the national economy in the post-war years.

The Chairman of the IAC in his congratulations especially noted that today our duty is to preserve and strengthen the most valuable things: peace, freedom and the future of great Russia. Today we thank all the participants of the SVO, who are now courageously fighting for our Fatherland, protecting civilians and their right to a calm, happy life. "The lessons of the Great Patriotic War are timeless. Our common task is to prevent the justification of Nazism, resist attempts to rewrite history. It is necessary to pass on this unspoken message of the Great Patriotic War to the next generations," Oleg Storchevoy emphasized.

During the ceremonial meeting in the IAC, poems and songs about the heroes of the Great Victory were performed. A number of employees also shared memories of their relatives and friends who survived the war years.

On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Interstate Aviation Committee joined the All-Russian action of the Immortal Regiment in the format of the "Wall of Memory". In the lobby of the IAC, a photo wall was unfolded with portraits of our heroes - the generation of victors in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945: front-line soldiers, partisans, underground fighters, home front workers. Each of them contributed to the victory over Nazi Germany and its European allies.

Also on April 25, 2025, the IAC team joined the International Patriotic Action "Victory Dictation". In an online format, IAC employees answered questions dedicated to the feat of millions of Soviet soldiers and aimed at preserving historical memory and the continuity of generations.

Let us recall that earlier, on April 24, 2025, members of the Council on Aviation and Use of Airspace - authorized representatives of the aviation authorities of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Chairman of the IAC visited the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Gora, wh ere they got acquainted with the “Memory of the People” exhibition and laid flowers at the Eternal Flame.
