The delegation of the Interstate Aviation Committee headed by the IAC Chairman Oleg Storchevoy takes part in the first International Transport and Logistics Forum (ITLF) opened in Saint Petersburg on April 1, 2026.
ITLF is a key platform for showcasing industry achievements and engaging in comprehensive discussions on the development of transport logistics, regulatory framework, digitalization, and the implementation of innovative solutions.
On the first day of the ITLF business program, the IAC delegation participated in key forum sessions, including the plenary session "Global Transport Corridors: Integration and Seamless Logistics," a conference on instruments for decarbonizing international flights for CORSIA purposes, meetings of transport regulatory authorities, and the Council of Heads of Authorized Transport Bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States.
The Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee, delivering a welcoming speech at a meeting of the International Supervisory Council for the Application of the Memorandum of Understanding between Transport Regulatory Authorities, noted that addressing the challenge of ensuring transport safety requires the consolidation of efforts by all government agencies, enterprises, and organizations in the Eurasian region: "The basis of such coordination is the exchange of experience and the implementation of best practices in transport safety control and oversight between regulatory authorities and the business community."
The IAC delegation also participated in the panel session "Coordination Transport Meeting of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States," which focused on professional dialogue on the development of international transport corridors in the CIS and cooperation with third countries. In addition advanced technologies and digitalization as a factor in facilitating the expansion of transportation geography and increasing its volumes were discussed.
On the sidelines of the International Transport Forum, the IAC delegation will hold a series of bilateral meetings dedicated to the development of civil aviation, including on issues of harmonizing aviation standards, exchanging experience in the field of aviation safety, and expanding international partnership.
The International Transport and Logistics Forum is held in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation to ensure the global competitiveness of Russia's transport corridors, including the implementation of decrees within the framework of national goals for 2030 and for the period up to 2036. WIthin three days, from April 1-3, 2026, ITLF participants will have the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues related to transport development. The focus is on developing joint solutions to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the transport and logistics system at the national and international levels.
