The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) took part in the International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia

Oleg Storchevoy, the Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee and IAC employees are participating in the HeliRussia International Helicopter Industry Exhibition, which opened on June 4, 2026, in Moscow.

Addressing the exhibition participants at the opening ceremony, the IAC Chairman wished everyone success and emphasized that aviation safety must always remain a top priority, no matter how difficult the task may be or how ambitious the goal is. "Everything we operate, transport, certify, and discuss makes sense onle when every flight ends with a safe landing," Oleg Storchevoy emphasized.

The IAC Chairman participated in the plenary session "Continuing Airworthiness and After-Sales Service of Helicopters," organized with the participation of the Rosaviatsia Public Council, and in the official tour of the exhibition. Exhibition guests were introduced to aircraft of various types, classes, and purposes, as well as specialized equipment used in firefighting and rescue, oil and gas, and medical services, as well as for transporting people and cargo. In addition, a significant part of the exhibition was dedicated to unmanned aerial vehicles, which already play a key role in addressing a wide range of economic challenges.

A separate forum in the HeliRussia business program was dedicated to aviation safety: a meeting of the Rosaviatsia Flight Methodology Council (Helicopter Flight Safety Group) and a roundtable discussion entitled "Aviation Safety Management System. Practice" (hereinafter referred to as the roundtable) were held.

At the roundtable, Oleg Storchevoy presented a report "State Aviation Safety Programs in IAC Member Countries. The Relationship between State Aviation Safety Programs and Aviation Safety Management Systems of service providers. "

The IAC Chairman briefed the roundtable participants on state aviation safety programs and national aviation safety plans implemented in States Parties to the Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace (Agreement). These programs and plans are aimed at systematizing efforts to enhance aviation safety, harmonizing national legislation with international standards, and strengthening cooperation with international organizations and partners. They are closely related and complement each other, forming a multi-level risk management system.

In the Agreement countries, these mechanisms are implemented in accordance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, as well as IAC recommendations. Joint efforts by States and coordination through the IAC allow to improve the level of civil aviation security in the region.

IAC specialists participated in the discussion "Domestic Developments: From Avionics, Components, and Major Assemblies to New Aircraft," the strategic session "Current Issues of Continuing Airworthiness and After-Sales Service for Helicopters," and the comprehensive forum "Infrastructure and Flight Support for Manned and Unmanned Aviation."

As part of the HeliRussia business program, experts discussed significant progress in the helicopter industry and the active development of unmanned systems, emphasizing the need to tap into the business potential and the potential for applying artificial intelligence in the helicopter industry. Furthermore, the experts identified systemic challenges facing the industry amid rising indicators, including issues related to maintaining airworthiness and a labor shortage.

HeliRussia annually showcases the full range of helicopter industry products and services. The event features demonstrations of new products and promising developments. The exhibition is organized by the Helicopter Industry Association, and hosted by Russian House of Aviation, LLC.
