IAC held a meeting of the Working Group on Aircraft Ground De-icing/Anti-icing

On July 23, 2026, a meeting of experts was held at the Interstate Aviation Committee jointly with the Autonomous non-profit organization "Scientific center for Aviation Laboratory" (ANO "SC Avialab") held a meeting of experts of the working group as part of a series of conferences on aircraft ground de-icing/anti-icing.

The meeting topic was "Harmonization of the IAC's "Aircraft Ground De-icing/Anti-icing" Personnel Training Guidelines with the International Standard SAE AS6286E."

The following topics were discussed:

- New categories of trainees and general principles for training personnel on ground de-icing/anti-icing;

- Numbering (designation) of ground de-icing/anti-icing personnel training levels;

- Types of ground de-icing/anti-icing personnel training (basic and advanced);

- Requirements for instructors (theoretical and practical training in ground de-icing/anti-icing);

- Requirements for ground de-icing/anti-icing training managers at aviation enterprises;

- Organizational issues and approval of the updated composition of experts for the current working group.

The participants reviewed new provisions for inclusion in the relevant sections of the new edition of methodological recommendations "Aircraft ground de-icing/anti-icing".
