IAC took part in a meeting of the International Expert Council on Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Robotic Complexes

On July 28, 2026, a meeting of the International Expert Council on Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Robotic Complexes (hereinafter referred to as the Council) was held at the Russian House of International Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Moscow. During the meeting, the key areas of the Council's activities were identified.

The Russian House for International Scientific and Technical Cooperation is a development institution whose core competence is the development of cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign countries in the field of international scientific and technical relations, providing a "single-window" for interaction with partner countries, thereby facilitating the achievement of common goals.

Discussions on the safe operation of air transport at this venue allow for a further assessment of the expert positions of CIS Member States and the development of coordinated approaches to improving the regulatory framework for the region's air transport system.

At the meeting of the Council, Deputy Director of the Department for Harmonization of Civil Aviation Development and Use of Airspace Alexander Vedernikov made a report “Implementation of the IAC provisions of the Concept of harmonization of national air traffic management systems of the CIS Member States.” The provisions of the Concept of Harmonization of National Air Traffic Management Systems of the CIS Member States and the Memorandum of Cooperation of the CIS Member States in the field of development and use of unmanned aircraft systems in civil aviation, presented in the report, provide for the formation by states of coordinated approaches to the development of unmanned aircraft in the eastern part of the ICAO European Region.

During the Council meeting, key areas of its activities were identified and subsequent events were planned.
