Memorandum on Cooperation between the CIS Executive Committee and the Interstate Aviation Committee has been signed in Ashgabat

On September 11, 2026, in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev and Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee Oleg Storchevoy signed Memorandum on Cooperation between the CIS Executive Committee and the Interstate Aviation Committee. 

The Memorandum provides for cooperation in the development of civil aviation, including improving the regulatory framework and air traffic management system, enhancing aviation safety, developing the regional transport services market, implementing innovative and digital technologies (including artificial intelligence), ensuring cybersecurity, and reducing the negative environmental impact of aviation.

The Memorandum formalizes agreements on the exchange of information and expertise regarding aviation safety management, the holding of consultations and joint activities, and participation in events organized by the CIS Executive Committee and the Interstate Aviation Committee to discuss topical issues concerning the development of civil aviation.
