Investigation of the fatal accident involving Tu-154M aircraft, registration number 101 of the Republic of Poland occurred on April 10, 2010 at the Smolensk North Airport was held by the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) in accordance with procedures of Annex 13 "Accident and Incident Investigation" to the Convention on International Civil Aviation. Accredited representative of the Republic of Poland, large group of polish experts and aviation and flight experts from other countries participated in the investigation.
The investigation was completed on January 12, 2011. Final Report based on the investigation results was published on the IAC official web-site and delivered to the Accredited representative of the Republic of Poland via the Republic of Poland Embassy in the Russian Federation.
Relavant international organizations were informed about the investigation results as well.
