On joint training of flight and ATC personnel

The Interstate Aviation Committee, in pursuance of the decision of the 14th Air Navigation Coordination Commission, held in Moscow on November 24–26, 2016, at which the States parties to the Agreement were recommended to implement joint training for flight and air traffic control personnel, organized a meeting of air traffic controllers with flight instructors from Russian airlines at the Moscow ATC Center branch of the State ATM Corporation.

During a visit to the Moscow ATM Center branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State ATM Corporation" on March 15, airline representatives learned about work of air traffic controllers in planning and managing air traffic and participated in a joint training session with the Center's air traffic controllers on on actions in emergencies in the French training center.

IAC representatives thanked the leadership of the Moscow ATC Center branch of the State ATM Corporation for the high level of organization of the joint event and expressed hope for further cooperation in developing the regularity of such meetings. ATC personnel visit to aviation centers equipped with flight simulators is scheduled for the near future, for sharing experiences and gaining practical skills in piloting and navigating modern aircraft.
