On the visit of the IAC delegation to the Republic of Uzbekistan

On April 12, an IAC delegation headed by IAC Chairman O. Storchevoy made an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the visit, working meetings were held with Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov and the civil aviation leadership of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed current aspects of cooperation in the areas of aviation safety, training and professional development for aviation specialists, and preparing the Republic of Uzbekistan for the upcoming ICAO audit.

An extensive exchange of views took place on all areas of international cooperation in the field of civil aviation, and ways for the further development of bilateral relations were outlined.

Participants in the working meetings highly appreciated the level of interaction between the IAC and CAA of Uzbekistan and expressed confidence in the need for closer cooperation in the field of accident investigation, certification of aircraft, airports and equipment, air navigation, and aviation specialists training.

Following the meetings, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chairman of the IAC signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of air accident investigation and prevention.
