On the visit of IAC delegation to the Republic of Belarus

On May 30, an IAC delegation headed by IAC Chairman Oleg Storchevoy paid an official visit to the Republic of Belarus. During the visit, working meetings were held with the Minister of Transport and Communications Aleksandr Avramenko and Director of the Department of Aviation Igor Golub.

The IAC Chairman briefed the meeting participants on the results of the IAC's work, as well as plans and initiatives to improve interstate cooperation mechanisms to ensure the safe and economically sustainable development of civil aviation in the current environment. The IAC head highlighted the progress made in implementing the ICAO Global Aviation Safety Plan and the preparation of the draft IAC Development Strategy.

The parties discussed current aspects of cooperation in aviation safety, training and professional development for aviation specialists, and accident and incident investigation.

An exchange of opinions on international cooperation in civil aviation took place, and paths for the further development of bilateral relations were outlined.

The meeting participants highly appriciated the level of interaction between the IAC and the aviation authorities of the Republic of Belarus and expressed confidence in the need to expand cooperation in the field of ​​aviation safety.
