On December 4-5, 2025, a delegation from the Interstate Aviation Committee took part in the international scientific and practical conference "Aviation Security – 2025," dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The event was held at the Moscow ICAO Regional Aviation Security Training Center (NC-24) of the State Scientific Research Institute of Civil Aviation.
Representatives of competent authorities, airports, aircraft operators, airlines, universities, and training centers from CIS and EAEU countries working in the field of aviation security participated in the conference.
Conference participants discussed a wide range of issues related to government control and supervision of aviation security. The main topic of discussion was the implementation of the requirements of Annex 17 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation for personnel certification and the implementation of audits by ICAO Member States under the Continuous Monitoring Mechanism (CMM) of the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USAOP), as well as in the areas of aviation security, information security, cybersecurity, insider risks, profiling, quality control systems, audits, and other issues.
The Interstate Aviation Committee presented a report, "Cybersecurity in the Aviation Industry: Current Threats and Defenses," which analyzed the pressing cybersecurity threats to civil aviation, existing defense methods, and technological tools for ensuring security.
During the expert discussion of aviation security issues at the international scientific and practical conference "Aviation Security," it was once again emphasized that the globalization of air transportation, the implementation of innovative technologies, the changing geopolitical situation, and the evolution of threats require the regular exchange of experience and the coordination of specialist efforts.
The next international scientific and practical conference "Aviation Security" is scheduled for December 2026.
