RA-31Т RA-0880G 05.03.2009

     The IAC Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident with РА-31Т RA-0880G FVSP aircraft occurred on 05.03.2009 at Burny Airport, Leningrad region (RF).
     According to the Investigation team's conclusion:
     "Non-fatal accident was caused by lack of landing experience on Airport narrow RWY thta resulted in erroneous overperception of level-off altitude by PIC, undershooting, collision of port landing gear with gully edge and aircraft structure destruction.
      Contributing factors were:
      - authorization for flights of untrained crew;
      - deficiencies in flight operation management in airline (lack of monitoring for flight operations’ legitimacy by Flight Director from the Airline Director General, lack of PIC authorization for landing on grounds selected from air, lack of PIC flight training test in 2008, 2009 years at РА-31Т aircraft);
      - lack of coordination of landing on Airport with Airport Authority conducting reconstruction works on it;
      - overestimation of professional potential by PIC".
