12 июля  «Калидус» RA-0038А 

      According to the information received the accident with "Cladius" RA-0038A private gyroplane occurred in the area of Bezhitsa airport of Bryansk region (RF) on July 12, 2013. According to the preliminary information the pilot and a passenger were on board, the pilot was killed.
      The Interstate Aviation Committee has formed the Investigation team of the accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team started its work.
    

     The Interstate Aviation Committee Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident with "Calidus" RA-0038A private gyroplane occurred in Bryansk (RF) on July 12, 2013.
     Fatal accident with "Calidus" RA-0038A gyroplane was caused by nap-of-the-earth operation (about 10 m) above Desna river bed resulted in collission with wires of two closely located power transmission lines, gyroplane destruction followed by its downing. 
     Most probably the contributing factors were:
     - pilot's poor dicipline resulted in violation of FOM guidelines on maintaining en-route altitude (300 m);
     - unsatisfactory flight area research with identification of natural and simulated obstacles;
     - insufficient PIC's surveillance of airspace;
     - lack of PTL marking and their low-observability.
     The appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
