The Investigation team of the Interstate Aviation Committee has completed the investigation of the accident with Mi-8Т RA-24541 helicopter owned by "DVK "Aerovir" LLC occurred in the Khabarovsk Territory on June 30, 2014.

Most probably the accident with helicopter during landing on the landing site selected while in flight was caused by exceeding the helicopter take-off mass for helicopter-type landing without using "ground effect" resulted in the rotorcraft structure destruction and fire.

Most probably the contributing factors were:

- erroneous crew actions resulted in not making the decision on missed approach procedure at the altitude about 30 m (when the powerplant output was fully selected);

- abortive landing (left smaller box pattern) without evaluation of the landing site size and approach obstacles clearance at the checkpoint.

The appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
